Hebin Park is situated on the top of White Crane Hill, at the confluence of Xunjiang River and Guijiang River, with an area of 14.9 hectare. The municipal government decided to build a park in White Crane Hill in July of 1930. The park was named Hebin Park at the opening ceremony held in March 1931.
It is easy to find hundred-year old banyan and pine trees everywhere on the hill, which make the park very verdant and pleasant to eyes. The main buildings of the park include Crane Tower, Morning Sun Pavilion, and Monument to the People's Heroes, Monument to the Return of Sovereignty, the site of former British Consulate, etc., as well as miniature trees & rockery, peculiar stones. Monument to the Return of Sovereignty and Monument to the People's Heroes are the educational base of patriotism in Guangxi. Herbin Park has attracted many tourists and local people with its beautiful scenery and quietness. |
